Here are some examples of successful grant applications:
Isabella Community Association, Blyth Northumberland
The Ridley Family Charity received an application for funding in September 2021, from the Isabella Community Association, in Blyth, Northumberland. The application specifically asked for funding towards the Christmas pantomime at the Isabella Community Centre. The Isabella Community Association is a long-established charity which supports their local and disadvantaged neighbours through activities. The application for grant funding was considered by the Trustees from the Ridley Family Charity, and a grant of £2,200 was awarded. The pantomime, Aladdin went ahead at Christmas with two performances on one day, for the local children and families to attend this event together. The event was hailed as a great success within the Isabella community.

Museums Northumberland
A grant application form was received by the Ridley Family Charity for funding towards an accessible play area at the Woodhorn Museum, QE11 Country Park, Ashington, Northumberland. The application asked for funds to contribute towards the extension of the existing Pit Yard play area at Woodhorn, to include new accessible play equipment for children with additional needs and disabilities. The application was discussed at the Ridley Family Charity meeting and the trustees granted the full award of £5,000. Thousands of children will use the play area each year (from babies up to teenagers) and the extension has allowed the museum to meet the requirements of children with a broad range of additions needs.
